Anaerobic Digestion?

Waste which is derived from natural material such as food waste, garden waste and agriculture can be broken down by naturally occurring microorganisms. When this occurs under certain conditions in nature an energy-rich gas is formed, known as marsh gas. When we control the process using an enclosed space without oxygen (anaerobic) the result is a gas which we call biogas. Biogas is a reliable energy-rich mix, mostly methane, which we can capture and use as a valuable fuel.
